Dr. Keeling's Curve
- Apr 21, 2023 - Apr 23, 2023
- Sierra Madre Playhouse
Starring Mike Farrell (Captain B.J. Hunnicutt of M*A*S*H) as Dr. Keeling, Dr. Keeling’s Curve tells the story of the life and work of Dr. Charles David (“Dave”) Keeling (1928-2005), whose work on CO2 measurement at Caltech in the mid 1950s gave the world its first early warnings of the dangers of Climate Change. He went on researching CO2 for the rest of his life, resisting many attempts by ignorant government bureaucrats to shut down his program. Science historian Spencer Heart, author of “The Discovery of Global Warming” has called Keeling "the key figure" in any history of climate change discovery. Had it not been for Keeling, it might have been another twenty years before the world understood the menace posed by CO2. Click here for the digital show program.
