Nolan Shaheed, a highly sought-after trumpet player in the vibrant LA music scene, has graced the stage with some of the industry's finest, including Ray Armando, Al Williams, and Louie Cruz Beltran. His musical journey began in the 'Sweet Baby Blues Band" of Jeannie and Jimmy Cheatham, where he first gained recognition. Nolan's exceptional dexterity on the trumpet quickly made him a favorite collaborator, sharing the spotlight with luminaries like Ray Armando and Benn Clatworthy.
A native of Pasadena, CA, Nolan's impressive career has seen him serve as the Musical Director for Marvin Gaye, lead the trumpet section for the Count Basie Orchestra, and perform alongside legends like Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, and Phil Collins. His musical prowess extends beyond the stage, as he's also been a sought-after studio musician since 1974 and is currently a prominent figure in the jazz scene.
