Luzma Ortiz

Luzma Ortiz is thrilled to be making her Sierra Madre Playhouse debut! Some favorite roles include Gabriela in Tentación (Walt Disney Concert Hall with LA Phil), Gabby Orozco in American Mariachi (South Coast Repertory), Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray (Norris Theatre), Gladys/Bolero Singer in In the Heights (Musical Theatre West), Dora u/s in Dora the Explorer Live! (Equity national tour), Eva Peron in Evita (Irvine Barclay Theatre), Maria in West Side Story, and Dottie in Noises Off. Ortiz earned a BFA in musical theatre from the University of California, Irvine, and a Musical Theatre Certificate at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC).
