Joshua Duron

Joshua Duron has been entertaining Los Angeles for over 30 years; as a musician, Joshua is a multi-instrumentalist with drums, keyboards and percussion as his primary instruments, he played with early influential Latin alternative groups such as Blues Experiment, Calavera, for most of those years. The Chicano music scene flourished during the mid to late nineties and paved the way for new Latin artists such as Chicano Batman and La Santa Cecilia.
He is also classically trained in a variety of other instruments such as voice, orchestral percussion. Earning his degree in Jazz studies at UCLA he played with jazz legends Kenny Burrell, Lalo Schifrin, Ndugu Chancler and studied with Master conguero Francisco Aguabella.
As an actor he has done various ensemble and musical plays, working with Josefina Lopez, Peter Sellars and Jason Alexander. His last play, “The Last Wedding,” by Christipher Chen, was set to premiere at Son of Semele theater in March of 2020 until the pandemic shut down the production. Returning to the stage in his first production since the pandemic, he is very grateful for the opportunity Benny, Berrie, Asdru and Sierra Madre Playhouse has given him.
