George Sarah

Composer

Composer, recording artist and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to Los Angeles at the age of five. He has garnered critical acclaim for his unique brand of compositions  bridging the normally discrete worlds of Electronic, Neo-Classical, and Industrial. With 11 full length albums, 7 EP's, 50 plus compilations and multiple collaborations, including numerous film and television projects. 


Most recently Sarah has embarked on a 20 city tour performing his original score for the 1928 silent classic film The Passion of Joan of Arc directed by Carl Dreyer. Utilizing a 13 piece ensemble of early music choir, string quartet and electronic synths and rhythms he has performed to enthusiastic audiences at film festivals and performing arts centers on both coasts and Canada.


He is a former member of THC who was a frequent musical guest on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. He has collaborated with members of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, David J (Bauhaus/Love and Rockets), Alain Whyte (Morrissey), James Fearney (The Pogues), Robert Williams (Captain Beefheart), Anthony Head (Ted Lasso), Joss Wedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Avengers), and for the 2008 Beijing Olympics he collaborated with Poetic Kinetics-(large-scale art installations and experiential design group) and Beijing Modern Dance Company.  


FILMS/TELEVISION:

April 2021: Feature film 'Her Name Was Jo' ( Gravitas Ventures) streaming on Paramount Plus, Direct TV and Ice Cage/Snowbound on AmazonPrime. Soundtrack can be found on his latest album release’s Vicissitudes and Timelapse. His songs have been featured on CSI, CSI NY, HBO Documentaries, Chris Rock's Everybody hates Chris, and has scored 31 episodes for various networks including the Discovery channel. He was a frequent performer on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and has had his music played on Buffy spin-off ‘Angel’. His songs have been licensed to over 100 tv/film and multi media projects.
