
Kurt Kanazawa
MitsKurt Sancez Kanazawa (Michael) is an actor-director-writer and is also a Juilliard-grad opera singer. He holds a BA from Columbia University and a Professional Studies in Acting for the Camera certificate from UCLA-TFT. Notably, his grandmother Shimeji Kanazawa, is known as "The Florence Nightingale of Hawaii" for her work during WWII. Born in Los Angeles, he was educated at Harvard-Westlake School. Upcoming, he stars as Pvt. Stanley Hayami in a VR film about the fallen war hero, directed by Nonny de la Peña for the Japanese American National Museum. In the audiobook world, he is an Earphones Award winner, recently narrating the adult romance trilogy, The Heirs of Hansol, by Jayci Lee, as well as the Japanese internment novel We Are Not Free, by Traci Chee. His mother is Filipino and his father is Japanese, both parents born in Hawaii. Kurt played MITS in SMP’s Nothing is the Same. TV - Grey’s Anatomy, Airport Security Squad (A.S.S.).
