Christian Lebano: will be familiar to Sierra Madre Playhouse audiences as the director of last spring’s Woman in Mind (LATimes Critic’s Choice) and from his recent appearances as Atticus in To Kill A Mockingbird (BroadwayWorld.com Best Actor Nom.) and the Stage Manager in Our Town.  He directed the Los Angeles premieres of Three Male Models Named Mike by Doug Cooney at the Zephyr Theater, Panama by Michael Folie at FirstStage Theater, Lil’ Red for the Company Rep., and several premieres for the California Young Playwrights Festival at the Globe Theater in San Diego.  He co-founded and directed the ArtReach Players in Milwaukee, WI and directed several plays and projects in Chicago and Milwaukee.  As an actor he played Elliot in the long-running and multi-award winning Opus at The Fountain Theater. (LA Weekly Best Actor Nom, LA Drama Critics Circle Best Ensemble, Backstage Garland Best Play) and then reprised the role in the Aspen, Colorado production at The Pegasus Theater.  He has performed with many Southern California theaters including the International City Theatre in Long Beach, Mutineer Theater Company, Theater Uprising, and CompanyRep among others in Los Angeles.  He has performed at regional theaters around the country including the Oregon, Utah, and Montana Shakespeare Festivals; Shakespeare Repertory, Court Theatre and Pegasus Players in Chicago; PCPA TheatreFest in Santa Maria; and Madison Repertory in Wisconsin.  Christian serves on the Board of the Sierra Madre Playhouse.
